  1. Bring your referral to Mears Mazda Volvo, and browse our large selection of new and used vehicles.
  2. Once your referral has chosen a vehicle they cannot live without, you will receive an "Instant Win" card (if you do not already have one).
  3. Once the buying process is complete, a manager will meet with you to scratch off your cash prize.

Eligibility:The contest is open to legal residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and Rhode Island) who are at least 18 years of age. Entrants are subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law.

Sponsor:The game is sponsored by Mears Mazda Volvo, 6027 Spur 327, Lubbock, Texas 79424 ("Sponsor").

Agreement to Official Rules:By participating in this game, entrants agree to abide by the terms and conditions thereof as established by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to qualify all submissions and to reject any submissions that do not meet the requirements for participation as established by Sponsor.

How to Enter:Participants may enter by obtaining a scratch-off card at Mears Mazda Volvo or from any of Mears Mazda Volvo’s employees. In order to exchange the scratch-off for a cash prize their referral must first purchase a vehicle. Once the purchase is complete the Sales Manager will then have the referee scratch a chosen circle from the card.

All scratch-off cards must include the name, address, telephone number and e-mail address of the participant. By entering, all participants consent to the use by Sponsor of all the information provided in the scratch-off cards for marketing and/or sales promotional purposes without any attribution, identification, right of review or compensation. Scratch-off cards submitted without complete identifying information will not be eligible to win.

There is no limit on the amount of scratch off cards you can receive, but there must be no more than one card per transaction. No copies or mechanical reproductions will be accepted.  The "Referral Program" is for referrals only, and not to be used for the purchase of an automobile.

Entry Period:The game begins on March 26, 2012

Prizes:The following "Instant Prizes" will be awarded to participants who match the in-store number to the corresponding scratch-off circle on their cards:

  • (1) $500 cash prize

For those that do not match the weekly number they will receive:

  • (1) $100 cash prize

Sponsor makes no warranties or disclaimers concerning the Prizes beyond those customarily given by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute different Prizes of approximately equivalent value in its sole discretion.

Selection of Winners:The participants whose scratch-off cards match the number of the in-store display will be declared the Instant Prize Winner. The odds of winning an Instant Prize are 1:56. The odds of winning the Secondary Prize 55:56.

Requirements of Prize Winner:Sponsor may require each Prize Winner to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability and publicity release, wherever lawful, as a precondition to award of a Prize. If a Prize Winner fails to sign and return the requested documents to Sponsor, that Prize Winner may be disqualified.

Release and Publicity:By receipt of a Prize and/or by signing an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release, if requested, each Prize Winner consents to the use of his or her name, and address by Sponsor for advertising and promotional purposes, without any additional compensation, except where prohibited. No entries will be returned. All entries become the property of Sponsor. Each Prize Winner agrees to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its officers, directors, employees, affiliated companies, agents, successors and assigns from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the contest. All Prize Winners consent to the disclosure of their names and addresses by Sponsor to the extent necessary to comply with federal or state regulatory requirements.
